It seems like the divorce of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher has been going on since the dawn of time. Okay, maybe not literally -- but it has been two years since they separated. During that time, they have been locked in a tense legal battle. They have been trying to sort out many of the issues that confront divorcing couples. But, since the assets Moore and Kutcher hold are quite significant, the two of them are in a protracted dispute.
Well, it appears the famed Moore-Kutcher divorce is about to finalized. According to a report, the couple will officially agree to a divorce settlement soon, and their divorce will be formal soon after.
One of the major hurdles in this divorce was money, a common factor in many divorces. Kutcher became the highest paid actor on television when he signed a contract with "Two and a Half Men," and it seems Moore was seeking some sort of financial assets before agreeing to the divorce -- which Kutcher declined for a long time.
Many Gulfport residents -- and, indeed, residents all across the country -- cannot relate to these kinds of money "issues," but this story does serve as an important lesson for everyday people: if you get divorced, remember that an expedited, uncontested divorce is possible.
This type of divorce saves you time and effort on a drawn-out legal battle over things that could be solved in mediation, or through good-faith negotiations. Resolving your divorce is an efficient manner can spare you added stress, and help you move on to greener pastures.
